Currently: February

{Alki Beach, Seattle}

Today is the first day of February, and I am genuinely excited about what's ahead! I just got back from an incredible trip with my best friends to Seattle, so there's not much to be bummed about, even though February is generally not a super exciting month. When teaching I was excited about February because it's Black History Month, and we always had so much fun learning about all of the people who made sacrifices and continue to pave the way for justice and equality. What are you looking forward to this month, friends?

Packing... I need to continue packing away clothes I don't wear. As I plan outfits for #funflirtyFebruary, I'm hoping that will help.
Jonesing... Ok y'all, I  had to look up what this word meant because I genuinely had no idea. :) But I guess right now you could say I'm jonesing a nice piece of chocolate cheesecake.
Texting...Well, I just got back from a wonderful trip, so I've been texting my best friends since we were just together all day every day and I'm having withdrawals.
Reading... I have loved reading My Heart by Julie Manning. Her story is incredible! She found out she had heart failure in her early thirties and it (obviously) changed her life. I've had tears in my eyes through most chapters.
Hearting... This month I am hearting all the oils. :) It's been fun learning about all they can do, and I am seriously grateful for them! On my trip I used them for sleep support and to give me a little pep in my step when we were going going going throughout each day.

Linking up with Anne and Erin today!

  2. I need to remember to pull out my oils more! Learning more about what they can do would probably help me to actually use them...

  3. Isn't it crazy how much you miss friends after a special time together?!? Lots of texting, indeed! I *did* know what jonesing meant and decided to use "craving" instead on my Currently post! LOL! Ah, semantics! Oils! I just started diffusing some essential oils. I'm all for natural remedies if they actually work. Happy February!

    1. Craving was definitely a good substitute word! Haha. And yes it is so fun to be with friends and then so sad to leave them. :( And yay for oils! :)

    I don't know a TON about essential oils, but I want to try more and see how they can help.

  5. Oh man, I though jonesing was a common knowledge word, but it turns out I was so, so wrong. Whoops. Though chocolate cheesecake does sound amazing. Thanks for linking up!

  6. Coming home from a trip is always such an interesting feeling--it's good to be home, and you get to reminisce on all the fun adventures...but sometimes you wish you were still out there!
